MARTIN GARRIX WINS DJ MAG TOP 100 DJS 2018
Martin Garrix is the winner of the Dj Mag Top 100 djs 2018. He is only 22 years old and is considered the youngest winner of this event. He has already won the 2016 and 2017 edition so this is his third consecutive victory. To deliver the trophy, it was Martin Carvell (managing director of Dj Mag).
The event took place at the Amsterdam Music Festival in Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). He is reportedly working with Rihanna on his next album.
DJ MAG got 1.2 million votes in the poll this year, an increase of almost 200,000 compared to 2017. Most votes came from the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Germany, Belgium, France and Spain .
In the top 10 we classify:
— first place Martin Garrix
— in second place the brothers Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike
— Hardwell overtakes Armin Van Buuren, ranking third despite declaring his retirement.
— Armin Van Buuren ranks fourth but remains the highest DJ of the Trance musical genre.
— David Guetta with a good musical year ranked in fifth place over Tiesto.
— Tiesto ranks sixth.
- But the real revelation is Don Diablo who jumps out of 4 positions and ranks in the seventh position confirming to be the highest DJ of the future house genre
— Afrojack reconfirm their eighth position
— Oliver Helden who did not finish in the top 10 last year, this year jumps ahead of four positions and ranks in ninth place
— Marshmello reconfirms the tenth position
Steve Aoki drops two places to the eleventh position but the most surprising is, Chainsmokers, who from the sixth position last year goes down to number 31.
